We embrace “RAW” & Drug-Free Powerlifting. Basically, the only equipment we like to see is a 3 – 4 inch weightlifting belt.  No bench shirts, body suits, hand / wrist wraps around a bar, excessive knee wraps, etc.

Listen, if I have so much weight on the bench press bar that my shoulders will explode… then it’s too much weight for me. I’m not strong enough to bench press that weight.

If I have so much weight on the squat rack that my knees will explode… then it’s too much weight for me. I’m not strong enough to squat that weight.

If I have so much weight on the dead-lift platform that the bar slips out of my hands… then it’s too much weight for me. I’m not strong enough to dead-lift that weight.
